Terms of Service

Clear guidelines for using our educational platform

Agreement to Terms

By accessing and using DesignCraft's educational platform and services, you enter into a legally binding agreement with us. These terms govern your participation in our UI/UX design courses, use of our learning materials, and interaction with our educational community.

Please read these terms carefully before enrolling in any course or using our platform. Your continued use of our services indicates your acceptance of these terms and any future modifications we may make. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you should discontinue use of our services immediately.

Educational Services Description

DesignCraft provides comprehensive UI/UX design education through structured courses, interactive learning materials, practical projects, and expert instruction. Our services include live instruction sessions, recorded content, design assignments, peer collaboration opportunities, and career development support.

We strive to maintain high educational standards and continuously update our curriculum to reflect current industry practices. However, the field of design evolves rapidly, and we cannot guarantee that all content will remain current indefinitely or that completion of our courses will guarantee specific career outcomes.

Course schedules, content, and instructors may be subject to change based on educational needs, instructor availability, and other factors beyond our control. We will make reasonable efforts to notify students of significant changes in advance.

Student Responsibilities and Conduct

Academic Integrity

Students are expected to maintain the highest standards of academic integrity throughout their participation in our courses. This includes submitting original work, properly attributing sources when using external references, and avoiding plagiarism in all forms.

Collaboration is encouraged in designated group activities, but individual assignments must reflect your own work and understanding. Sharing assignment solutions with other students or using unauthorized assistance undermines the educational value of our program.

Professional Behavior

Our learning community thrives on mutual respect, constructive feedback, and professional interaction. Students are expected to treat instructors, staff, and fellow learners with courtesy and professionalism in all communications and interactions.

Harassment, discrimination, inappropriate content sharing, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated. We reserve the right to remove students whose conduct negatively impacts the learning environment for others.

Attendance and Participation

Regular attendance and active participation are essential for success in our intensive programs. While we understand that scheduling conflicts may occasionally arise, consistent absence from live sessions may impact your ability to complete the course successfully.

Students who cannot maintain regular participation should contact our support team to discuss alternative arrangements or course deferrals when available.

Payment Terms and Refund Policy

Course Fees and Payment

Course fees must be paid in full before gaining access to course materials and live sessions, unless alternative payment arrangements have been specifically agreed upon. We accept various payment methods and may offer payment plans for eligible students.

All fees are quoted in Euros and are subject to applicable taxes. Price changes may occur between course offerings, but enrolled students will not be affected by price increases during their active enrollment period.

Refund Policy

We offer a satisfaction guarantee within the first two weeks of course commencement. Students who are not satisfied with the course content or format may request a full refund during this period, provided they have not completed more than 25% of the course materials.

After the initial two-week period, refunds may be considered on a case-by-case basis for exceptional circumstances such as serious illness or family emergencies. Refund requests must be submitted in writing with appropriate documentation.

Students who violate our academic integrity or conduct policies are not eligible for refunds, regardless of the timing of their withdrawal or removal from the program.

Intellectual Property Rights

Course Content and Materials

All course content, including but not limited to video lectures, written materials, assignments, design templates, and assessment rubrics, are proprietary to DesignCraft and protected by intellectual property laws. Students receive a limited license to use these materials for their personal educational purposes only.

Students may not reproduce, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from our course materials without explicit written permission. This includes sharing course content with individuals who are not enrolled in the program or posting materials on public platforms.

Student Work and Portfolio Rights

Students retain ownership of original work they create during the course, including design projects, case studies, and portfolio pieces. However, DesignCraft may request permission to use exemplary student work for educational or promotional purposes, with proper attribution.

Students grant DesignCraft a limited license to use their work for internal educational purposes, such as demonstrating successful project outcomes to future students or improving course materials.

Third-Party Content

Our courses may incorporate third-party tools, resources, or content for educational purposes. Students are responsible for complying with the terms of service of any third-party platforms they use in connection with their coursework.

Platform Usage and Technical Requirements

Account Security

Students are responsible for maintaining the security of their account credentials and must not share login information with others. Any activity that occurs under your account is your responsibility, and you must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.

We implement security measures to protect student accounts, but students must also take reasonable precautions such as using strong passwords and logging out of shared devices.

Technical Requirements and Support

Students are responsible for ensuring they have adequate internet connectivity and compatible devices to participate in online courses. We provide technical specifications and system requirements for our platform, and students should verify compatibility before enrollment.

While we provide technical support for platform-related issues, we cannot guarantee compatibility with all devices or resolve issues related to students' personal internet connections or hardware.

Prohibited Uses

Students may not use our platform for any purpose other than legitimate educational activities. Prohibited uses include attempting to access unauthorized areas of the platform, interfering with other users' access, or using the platform to distribute malicious software or inappropriate content.

Limitation of Liability and Disclaimers

Educational Outcomes

While we are committed to providing high-quality education, we cannot guarantee specific learning outcomes, job placement, salary increases, or career advancement as a result of completing our courses. Success in the design field depends on many factors beyond our educational program.

We provide career support and guidance, but students are ultimately responsible for their own career development and job search activities. We do not guarantee employment or specific employment terms for graduates.

Platform Availability

We strive to maintain continuous platform availability, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access to our services. Scheduled maintenance, technical issues, or extraordinary circumstances may temporarily limit platform functionality.

We will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of scheduled maintenance and to minimize disruption to the learning experience. However, we are not liable for any inconvenience or educational impact resulting from temporary service interruptions.

Limitation of Damages

Our liability to students is limited to the amount of fees paid for the specific course in question. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of our services or any claimed breach of these terms.

Course Completion and Certification

Students who successfully complete all course requirements, including assignments, projects, and assessments, will receive a certificate of completion. Certification requirements may vary by course and will be clearly communicated at the beginning of each program.

Certificates are issued digitally and can be verified through our platform. We maintain records of course completion for verification purposes, but students are responsible for maintaining their own copies of certificates and course materials.

Certificates represent completion of our specific educational program and should not be interpreted as professional licensing or accreditation from external organizations unless specifically stated.

Privacy and Data Protection

Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our separate Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference. By agreeing to these terms, you also agree to our privacy practices as described in that policy.

We are committed to protecting student privacy and implementing appropriate security measures to safeguard personal information. However, students are also responsible for protecting their own privacy when participating in group activities or sharing information with classmates.

Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or business practices. Significant changes will be communicated to enrolled students through our platform or other appropriate means.

Continued use of our services after term modifications indicates acceptance of the updated terms. Students who disagree with modifications may discontinue using our services, and we will work with them to address any impacts on their current enrollment.

We maintain archives of previous term versions and can provide information about specific changes upon request. This transparency helps students understand how our terms have evolved over time.

Dispute Resolution

We encourage open communication to resolve any concerns or disputes that may arise during your educational experience. Our student support team is available to address questions and work toward mutually satisfactory solutions.

For disputes that cannot be resolved through direct communication, we may utilize mediation or other alternative dispute resolution methods before pursuing formal legal proceedings. This approach often provides faster and more cost-effective resolution for all parties.

These terms are governed by the laws of Greece, and any legal proceedings would be conducted in appropriate Greek courts, unless alternative arrangements are specifically agreed upon.

Termination of Services

Either party may terminate the educational relationship under certain circumstances. Students may withdraw from courses subject to our refund policy, while we reserve the right to terminate student enrollment for violations of these terms or conduct policies.

In cases of termination, students may retain access to completed course materials for a reasonable period, but access to live sessions and ongoing support services will end. Refund eligibility in termination cases depends on the specific circumstances and our refund policy.

We will make reasonable efforts to provide alternative arrangements for students affected by service termination due to circumstances beyond their control.

Contact and Communication

Students can contact our support team through the platform messaging system for assistance with technical issues, course questions, or administrative matters. We aim to respond to all inquiries within two business days during normal operating periods.

Official notifications regarding course changes, policy updates, or important announcements will be communicated through our platform and registered email addresses. Students are responsible for maintaining current contact information and checking communications regularly.

For urgent matters affecting student safety or platform security, we provide expedited communication channels and response procedures.

Questions About These Terms?

We believe in transparency and clear communication. If you have questions about any aspect of these terms or need clarification about your rights and responsibilities, please don't hesitate to reach out to our support team.
